Cinnamon Red Heart Roll-Out Sugar Cookies

A nostalgic favorite with cinnamon flavoring to tug at your heartstrings!

Cinnamon Red Heart Roll-Out Sugar Cookies
Yields: 12 cookies
Ingredients:
• 1 cup unsalted butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1/2 tbsp cinnamon extract
• 1 tsp butter vanilla emulsion
• 3 cups flour
• 3/4 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 cup crushed hard candy cinnamon hearts
Instructions:
Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the egg, extracts, and salt, mixing to combine.
Gradually add the dry ingredients.
Once the dough begins to form, fold in the crushed cinnamon hearts.
Roll out the dough and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Cut into desired shapes and bake for 10–12 minutes.
Royal Icing Tip: Add cinnamon extract to your royal icing for an extra burst of flavor.
